Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) serves as a crucial foundation for child development. However, many kindergarten programs tend to focus on cognitive aspects while neglecting children's. This study aims to explore and implement a holistic approach in kindergartens that harmonizes all developmental aspects. The study employs a qualitative research method utilizing a literature review approach. Data collection involved gathering information from books, articles, and documents related to ECE learning environment management. The collected data were subsequently reduced and presented to derive conclusions relevant to the development of a holistic-integrative curriculum in kindergartens. The research findings indicate that holistic curriculum development in kindergartens encompasses the comprehensive integration of education, health, caregiving, safety, and child well-being. These schools combine structured educational programs with active activities and parental involvement to support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Regarding the implications for holistic educational services in kindergartens, the findings suggest that curriculum development must comprehensively address health, caregiving, safety, and well-being. Schools are expected to continue strengthening the integration of academic education, character building, and child health.
